HANNAH ROMANOWSKY
Central Asian and Middle Eastern Dance Show at Club Cafe (Pittsburgh, PA)
HANNAH ROMANOWSKY draws her aesthetic impulse from Eastern and Western classical dance and is versed in the traditional repertoire and folk arts of Central Asia and the Middle East. She is a principle dancer with the esteemed Ballet Afsaneh, a critically acclaimed performance ensemble presenting dance, music and poetry of the historic Silk Road, and the international ethno-contemporary company Wan-Chao Dance, and has performed for museums, theaters, and festivals in Europe, Asia, and the United States.
A seasoned performer on the proscenium stage, Hannah is accomplished in traditional, classical and contemporary dance from the Eastern world and beyond and has been featured in independent cinema and instructional DVDs. Ms. Romanowsky is the founding director of the popular youth multicultural dance education program DanceVersity. An artist, teacher, and scholar, she holds a BA in Dance Ethnology and a MA in East-West Psychology with an emphasis on spirituality and the arts.
